James is passionate about how entrepreneurship can address big societal challenges for the betterment of people and planet.

As Venture Acceleration Manager at imec.istart - imec’s world-leading startup acceleration program and pre-seed fund – James helps select, guide and advise tech founders to fulfil their potential. He acts as first-line business coach and investment manager for early-stage digital startups, notably in the fields of climate tech, circular economy and ESG.

James is half-British, born and raised in Denmark, and now lives in Brussels with his wife and son. Before pursuing his Masters in International Business from Aarhus University, his very first international experience was in Baden-Wurttemberg, living and working as a management trainee in Heilbronn. He speaks 4 ¼ languages, and has lived in 6 countries across 3 continents.
